Artist INC Live connects artists of all disciplines to the tools, resources, and opportunities necessary to develop their entrepreneurial skills and strengthen their artistic practice. 

Artist INC is a cutting edge training seminar that addresses the specific business needs and challenges artists of all disciplines face every day. Limited to 25 participants per session, artists gather one night a week for eight weeks to learn business skills specific  to their art practice and apply those skills cooperatively with their peers. Using a variety of learning modalities, the artists learn and grow together.  Sessions consist of: artist facilitator mentoring, small group activities, facilitator-lead panels, large group discussion and multi-media lectures. Now in it's eleventh year, the Artist INC workshop has been completed by  more than 1300 regional artists. Artist INC Houston is supported in part by an award from Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts and individuals throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.  

DATES & LOCATION
The next Artist INC Houston session will be in the Spring of 2020. This session will run on eight consecutive Wednesday evenings from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm from March 18 to  May 13, 2020. Session will take place at Frost Bank Financial Center, 1700 Post Oak Blvd. 3rd Floor, Houston, TX 77056.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must complete the online application form, answer the narrative questions and submit a resume/CV and digital work samples that support their proposed project. All applications must be made online through Submittable.com during the open application period.

The application deadline is Friday, January 10, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and live within an 80 mile radius of Houston, TX. Students are ineligible to apply. If you are selected to participate in Artist INC, there is a $150 fee. Even  with the participant fee, the program is heavily subsidized. As a result of this subsidization, participants are required to attend all sessions of the workshop, barring illness or emergency. Please review the schedule to be sure that you are available for all of the sessions. Applicants will be notified on or by January 24, 2020.
